LONDON PRIDEJuly 30, 2017
milk_shake were proud to sponsor the Seventa Image London Pride Hair & Make Up Team for the 3rd year running. The event was an incredible weekend full of style and celebration. VIP Stylist and milk_shake Ambassador Shelley Pengilly worked alongside milk_shake UK Education Manager, Becky Wardrop, milk_shake Educator Kelly Summerfield and Seventa’s Head Stylist Teressa Weller to create vibrant styles for artists, celebrities and VIP guests that included Sinita.
Plaits, effortless waves, retro wand curls and glitter are just a few of the many styles created by our amazing stylists using milk_shake’s miracle products.
As the rainbow flags were hung with pride, rainbow locks were created using milk_shake Direct Colour and a whole lot of love. We asked Seventa’s Teressa Weller what she thought of the success of London Pride 2017 and which products were hailed hair heroes, ‘Pride in London was even more incredible than ever this year. It was a delight to have milk_shake sponsor our Seventa Image team and to have the opportunity to work with some of milk_shake’s key artists in the run up to the event and at the event itself. milk_shake Direct Colour was awesome and allowed us to create beautiful rainbows that were added to the hair of VIP artists and celebs. Dry Shampoo and Strong Hold Hairspray were hero products this weekend.’
Sinita, Jennifer Paige, BETSY, Stooshe and Tiger Lily are just a few of the celebrities we had the pleasure to work with at London Pride, each rocking their own, unique style. The team worked from 4 stages on Saturday- Radio Diva at Leicester Square, Main Stage at Trafalgar Square, Cabaret and Illumination Stage. The takeover continued Sunday with the team appearing on the main stage for Pride in the Park in Vauxhall.
milk_shake Educators & Salon Owners Andrew Smith and Kelly Summerfield also had the pleasure of working alongside many celebrities during the filming of the official London Pride 2017 advertising campaign where they used milk_shake to create a variety of styles. Andrew travelled to Covent Garden to join a group of hair and make-up artists that were chosen to work alongside various celebrities to create the perfect styles. Andrew was thrilled to be part of the campaign and promoting milk_shake. He and said ‘I am proud and honoured to have been invited to become involved in the promotion of such an amazing, international event. London Pride is such fun and truly inspirational!’ I loved working the pre-campaign with the celebrities (who were great company) and can’t wait to see our work being showcased across London’.
